Shooting sports without autofocus… not as much. Good thing this was a practice round!
I took some pictures of a community soccer game over the weekend and loved how the pictures turned out for the most part, despite the fact that almost all of them are in pretty soft focus. Hopefully before the sports project is due, I will be able to get a long lens that has autofocus.
Both teams are made up of friends from the small town of Rio Chiquito, Mexico. They play soccer by the airport almost every day.
The lighting was nice, but I think it was already a little dark when I got there.
So basically, getting professional looking sports photos out of a pick-up soccer game was pretty fun. Can’t wait to try again… hopefully with a better lens!
